Ta-da, my friend Sandy has joined the ranks of the Internet-enabled buyer-seller types with her own web site, http://www.cagelady.com/ . So if you have beloved critters in need of more spacious digs, consider one of her custom cages.

Speaking of digs, I had at it again last night at midnight-- 4-5 inches of snow to move after getting in. Unbelievable. This is the third snowiest February on record already for the Rochester area. But compared the people in the midwest, there's nothing to gripe about. At least we have power.

P.A. update: Wish I had news. No letters from my applied-to school. I was expecting at least a neg by now, but no news is good news-- or is it? Only time will tell. In the mean time, I started medic training finally as of this week-end. It was quiet during my shift, with only one call all afternoon. One day, when I have a repeat of last summer's ride-along, I will be wishing it were that quiet.

It's either-or it seems with some things-- either too much to do at once or not enough. Sort of like I.T. work that way.

SNOW. Up to something like 1.5 feet I'd say, by now.

The good news is, it's moving on, though the forecast says we should expect more despite what the "Doppler radar" says.

As I sit here at my PC (I am home-- didn't even try to go into work today), I espy my neighbors laboring to clear their driveway. I have yet to do so, so I have my work cut out for me. The snow seems light and dry-- this is good. These are not particularly strong or young people but they have with two of themselves cleared a larger driveway than mine in about an hour.

It's not the driveways that are the real problem of course, it's the roads. Once cleared, you can leave your driveway, but then what? If you make it to a main drag, you still have the snow and ice and other (idiot) drivers to contend with there. Last night, after my ambulance company meeting, I went and filled up my tank, then did some shopping. I have three days worth of food here, too. Actually, the cats are better-set than I am. They have food to last at least another month. Those cats have it good.
