Ahh, maybe one day I will permanently (rather than temporarily) join the ranks of these, my brothers in slackerdom. It's so comforting to see that yes, I am not alone not just in my fantasies of an enriching idleness but some men have the courage to just plain go for it! You go, boy!

But alas, no time soon for me. Here, I have a job, ambitions for return to school and yet more work thereafter, and recently I decided to volunteer with the local ambulance company. I went on a "ride-along", which was more like a working introduction. I'm not complaining here, it was a great experience in its own way. In 5 hours I went out on 4 calls, one of which included a fatality. :( As they say, eventually, ya gotta just jump into the pool. Better get used to it if I am gonna be in healthcare as our population continues to age and/or roast in the 110-degree heat!
