Well, reading this was rough, but you know, not unexpected. When she comes to her senses, I know she'll seek me out. :)

All right, so Mr. Doomsday, you ask, what about 2008? Have you changed/modified/etc. any of your dire predictions and warnings re the economy, the dollar, etc., etc.? Answer: No. Next question: Do current events in the world (ie, assassination of Benazir Bhutto) count as the precipitating event for your dire predictions? Answer: No. That may make headlines and throw a country and perhaps a whole region of the world into self-doubt (at best) or chaos (at worst), we have yet to see, but it is not "the event". "The event" will not be one single thing, nor anything as dramatic as that. It will be slower and happen in stages. There will be particular drop-off points but like a hurricane, it does what it does in waves, over time, until it is done, and you find a few trees lying in your front yard and your car will have seemed to grow a trash can from its roof. It is not a tornado we are looking at, but a hurricane.
