Ma Bell strikes again! It should come as no surprise since they have been advertising it for a few months now, but this AM when I turned on my cell, what did I see after the phone got up and running-- the usual Cingular network banner has been replaced by AT&T. Ugh!!! Those nice friendly lower-case letters spelling an actual pronouncable word have been morphed into a hideous ALL-UPPERCASE ACRONYM with a big nasty & in the middle, without so much as a space on either side of it! From soft-touch homey company with couches and coffee in the lobby to BIG IMPERSONAL GIANT TITANIC U.S. CORPORATION requiring a picture ID to so much as look at the building, overnight, just like that!!! If this isn't insult to injury, what is , I say??!!! Arrrrggghhh!!! Is nothing sacred???!!

On a lighter note, my 1-month gig is going very well and may turn into a *gasp* real job. Stay tuned.

Back to work... bagged a one-month job. So for at least that length of time, I will return to being a respectable member of society. Well, sort of, heh heh heh...

OK, so I have found my new job. Wish me luck. >)
