Well I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving... I did a wee bit of studying but not nearly enough. That is a good sign though, it means I still have a life... or something like it.

Ahh, it's a man's life in the Royal Marines! Well I can't point fingers, can I-- I was in a fraternity in college, after all!

Hi Francie, Nice to hear from you. I would post my grades but alas some may be so bad that it would embarass me. :) Really, I am not doing too bad for my first semester back but want to do better. To that end I have a tutor for each of my 2 subjects. I don't know how the real college kids in the sciences track do it, with 4 classes/semester. I guess the less ambitious avoid two hard classes in the same semester. I would do that too if I had the time! ACS, a weird place?? Nahhhhhhh.... :)

Hmm, with light, friendly comments like the previous, it seems a shame that I was going to comment on the military story.... The "forced naked fighting" for the recruits is remarkably similar to a story which was told to my Literacy student by a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp...seems to be to cause shame amongst those who are being made to feel inferior.
